SOLAR SYSTEM

Neptune is dark, cold, and very windy. Neptune has six rings, but they're very hard to see. Uranus is Neptune’s near twin and composition. Neptune has a powerful magnetic field. It is 27 times stronger than Earth’s. Neptune has a radius of 24.764 km /and a diameter of 49.244 km, Neptune is four times larger than Earth and Venus. Neptune has 13 moons. It's made of a thick fog of water, ammonia, and methane over an Earth-sized solid center.

One day on Neptune goes by in 16 hours. Neptune formed around 4.5 billion years ago. Neptune has such a long journey around the Sun it takes 165 Earth years to go around once.  The core of Neptune is about 1.5 times the size of Earth.

Neptune is very similar to Uranus. It's the last of the planets in our solar system. It's more than 30 times as far from the sun as Earth is. Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun at an average distance of 4.5 billion kilometers. Neptune is the fourth-largest planet in the Solar System sunlight reaches Neptune after 4 hours. Was discovered in 1846 by Urbain Le Verrier, John Couch Adams, and Johann Galle. In Greek mythology, he is known as Poseidon. The planet was probably given this name due to its blue appearance.
